Yuna Kim represents the end of a glorious era. Her speed, line and powerful edges cannot be achieved in this day in age because of the amount of energy skaters now waste on complex spins, footwork sequences, difficult jump entries and exits, and excessive choreography that oft times does not match the music, not to mention the 3axels and quads that have become common place. COP was already doing it's damage by 2010. Its unfortunate because this uses to be such a beautiful sport. There will always be champions and stand outs, but when I compare the Olympic podiums pre and post Yuna, the difference is startling, and tragic.
